Residential Aliens: Speculative Fiction from the Seven Stars debuted in July.  Lynn Perry describes the magazine as "a speculative fiction e-zine with a spiritual foundation. Although once deemed a "lost genre," stories with a fantastic element are making a comeback. This new online publication is simply another venue for writers, readers, and artists of the fantasy, sci-fi, and supernatural genres to share and enjoy their stories."

The magazine has published it's third issue, and the publication is looking for both readers and writers.

The Christian Sci-Fi Journal also launched in July.  This graphically-rich magazine includes Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy stories, interviews and publishing news.

The magazine is downloaded as a PDF file which can be read online or printed for offline reading. William Minnix has this to say about his journal: "Christian Sci-Fi Journal. It is packed with a lot of great stories, and interviews. The art is first class and we are very proud of the first issue. Why sci-fi and fantasy, you might ask. The quick answer is that in the last thirty  years, both genres have taken an increasingly darker and darker turn, and we who love the genres would like to see them redeemed."

Flashpoint by Frank Creed launches September 29.  The book is published by The Writers' Cafe Press.  Flashpoint is a Christian Cyber-punk novel and is Book One of the Underground series. You can read Donna Sundblad's review of Flashpoint here.

We will be helping with the book launch party in Second Life, a virtual world which is attracting a lot of attention.  You will need to sign up at Second Life and download the software.

Once you download and install the free software, log in and design your avatar.  Then on September 29 at 7 p.m. Second Life Time (Pacific Time) you can "teleport" directly to the Writing and Performance Center in Second Life by pasting this URL into your web browser:
